Jake
was one of our more successful dogs both in the show ring and as a
sire. He was V rated by specialist judges on many occasions,
has over 15 best in show awards, over 30 groups and
royal shows etc. But, more important than this is his success as a
stud dog, with many V rated progeny. A recent example was the
2001 Adelaide royal show, where the entire challenge bitch line up was
comprised of his daughters, produced by 3 different, and unrelated
dams. In the same year, his daughter Ch Canorous Black Majic, was
challenge bitch and runner up in show at the Rottweiler Club of South
Australia Championship show judged by Paul Fleige of Germany. A
young son, Blackcombe The Business, was
minor in show, at the same
competition. Jake was also stud dog in show at the 2001 Melbourne
specialty. Jake was
shown beautifully throughout his career by good friend Michael
O'Callaghan.
